Merseyside Unit to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, Sweden 2011 Merseyside County is pleased to announce that we intend to send a Unit of Scouts and Explorer Scouts to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree to be held in Kristianstad, Sweden in the Summer of 2011.
To be a participant at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden 2011, you need to have turned 14 but not yet had your 18th birthday at the start of the camp. That means you must have been born between 25 July 1993 and 27 July 1997.
Merseyside County would like to encourage all districts to begin thinking about their selection process for their places for the 2011 Unit. Further Details will be sent out over the next 12 months so bookmark this page to be kept up to date.
Merseyside Unit Leader 2011
I am pleased to be able to announce that we have appointed Chris Hughes as Merseyside Unit Leader to the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011.Over the coming months Chris will begin the promotion of the Jamboree throughout the County. Districts should begin to think about their own support for the Jamboree. I am sure you will offer Chris your congratulations and support in the coming years.
